REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY
Deposits and payments are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. Students may reschedule another class date if the student is unable to attend the original class date or if the class has to be canceled beyond our control. (Students must use the deposit or payment within 180 days after this time, the deposit or payment is non-refundable) It is highly recommended to only pay the deposit and pay the balance in full on the first day of class.
NO CALL/NO SHOW-Student deposits and or payments will be forfeited if student registers and pays for a class and does not call or show up for the class within a reasonable time frame.
PROMOTIONS / DISCOUNTS
If you receive a promotional discount for any course, or have a coupon, please submit deposit fee online and pay remaining balance before class begins.
GRADING POLICY / REQUIREMENTS FOR RECEIVING COURSE CREDIT
Students are expected to obtain a passing score of at least an 80 percent on the DMV written exam and at least a 70 percent on the behind the wheel driving assessment.
COURSE DURATION REQUIREMENT
Per State regulations, Once a student completes the classroom portion of the course, students have 120 days for teens (ages 15-17) and 90 days for adults (ages 18 & above) to complete the 8 hours of driving instruction for the program. If the course program is not completed during the allowed time frame, at no fault of Star Driving Academy, the student will have to repeat the course and pay the course fee. If a student missed a drive session, it is the student's responsibility to call to receive the driving hours missed.
ADDITIONAL DRIVING OPPORTUNITY
Students may pay for an additional 2 hour drive session at $100 for each additional 2 hr session. Or student may pay for an additional 8 hours of behind the wheel practice at $300.
DISABLED STUDENTS
Students with hearing, speech, or learning disabilities should notify Star Driving Academy prior to enrolling and will be eligible for alternative teaching and testing techniques.
GRIEVANCES
It is the policy of Star Driving Academy to handle all grievances in an amicable manner; therefore, we ask that all complaints be addressed to Star Driving Academy. In the rare event that we are unable to handle your grievance, you may forward your grievance to the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Public Safety Services, Office of Motor Vehicles, Attn: Training and Certification Unit, P.O. DEPOSITS/PAYMENT INFO FOR COURSES
Deposits are applied to the total balance of the student’s selected course.
Acceptable forms of payment: Cash, Money Order OR Debit/Credit Card
FYI: A 3% credit card processing fee will be added to each ONLINE debit/credit card transaction.
DEPOSITS ARE ACCEPTED IN PERSON OR ONLINE. REMAINING BALANCE PAYMENTS SHALL BE MADE ONLINE OR IN PERSON ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. STUDENTS OR PARENTS WHO ELECT TO PAY IN FULL BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS MAY DO SO ONLINE ONLY.
